Care and Usage Instructions for WALDIES Shoes
The patented ComfoTek™ material is extremely resistant and easy to care for. Please observe the following instructions:
- WALDIES can be washed by hand or in a washing machine – the maximum temperature of 40°C must not be exceeded. This also applies to machine drying. Prolonged exposure of dark-coloured shoes to direct sunlight (e.g. in a car, on a balcony or at the beach) can cause the shoes to heat up above 40°C – this must be avoided.
- WALDIES are resistant to acids and alkalis. The shoes can come into contact with acids, alkalis or chemicals without any problem.
- WALDIES can be treated with all common disinfectants (no heat treatment, see above).
- WALDIES are slip-resistant and abrasion-resistant. Slip resistance is only guaranteed when the sole tread is sufficient – wearing shoes with worn-down soles on wet surfaces may cause a risk of slipping.
- WALDIES contain no harmful substances such as CFCs or plasticisers. Where a PAH value is detectable at all, it is well below the limits set by the EU Commission for toys and baby products.
Note on the Antistatic Version
- The contact surfaces of the outsole and footbed should be cleaned regularly. Contamination with non-conductive materials (oils, greases) should be avoided or removed.
- Wearing non-conductive footwear (e.g. socks with a high synthetic fibre content) can significantly reduce the dissipation of electrostatic charges.
